After doing some more research, it appears the OEM offset is +45, so I can see why my 16" rimd with +35 on 205/50/16 would rub. However, a 16x7 +45 would probably be okay with a 205/50/16, right or would I still have rubbing issues?

with a full 2 inch drop you may have some rubbing but I think you should be pretty much ok, best if you went say 195/45/16 or so, talk to some guys with lowered cars on 16 wheels, I believe largeorangefront is 1.7 drop with +40 and 205/50/16 and walter was running 16's with little sidewall and more than a two inch drop
