get a bubble shift knob, lol... they are like 8" long and would make shifting w/ the armrest easier. That's a decision you'd have to make though b/c not everyone likes the look.

I had a few days to use mine that I bought from ZetaProducts which looks just like the one pictured above and I have to say I'm happy with it. For awhile I thought about returning it but I'm going to keep it...I want to add for those who may not know, there is a tray inside that serves as the bottom that is removable for larger items. It's made to be removable because that is how you reach the bottom part that fits in the existing cup holder after you remove the round felt pad to screw it in place with 2 self tapping screws, put the felt pad back in place to cover the screws and use the tray to hold smaller stuff or leave it out to hold bigger items. It also has a coin holder right inside the top front which also snaps in and out of place if you want to use it or not. Also, mine has the black stitching and matches my interior exactly.

I think I like the idea of re-using the bolt, like the one cali-yaris sells.
Could you have done this with the ZetaProducts armrest? I know that
if you were to take out the armrest down the road, you would cover up the
two screw holes with that pad.

I am considering getting one for long trips. For around town, I am not sure
it would be worth it for me.

The one that Zeta sells does not use the bolt. The arm rest has a hole that fits right over the existing bolt so you don't have to remove the bolt. There is just 2 supplied self-tapping screws that hold it in place... So you don't do anything with the bolt. Does that help? As for the screws they are kind of small so they would not leave big holes at all.

Nah, I decided I wanted to do a TRD short shift kit, and I doubt it'd work with the factory armrest. I took it out a few days ago. Muuuuuch more comfortable, even when the armrest was up!

Price of the unit that had the new cup holder on the rear?

Also, this may sound funny but, are there any pics of this rest with someone having their arm on it so I can that it is indeed usefull? The reason I ask is because I have had cars that had an arm rest but it was not the right height for being comfy.

Thanks
Duane
