Exclamation

still.. having a long bendy tube isn't good for performance either. and this motor doesn't exactly generate a crazy amount of heat.

Gotta be homemade.
Cold air intakes generally work by introducing cooler air from outside the hot engine bay
Some strategies used in designing cold-air intakes are:

* increasing the diameter of the air intake, allowing increased airflow.
* smoothing the interior of the intake to reduce air resistance.
* providing a more direct route to the air intake. << maybe to many bends i do agree there >>>>>But on the sedan you have to route around the brake line and another bracket to reach the wheel well.
* tuning the length of the intake to provide maximum airflow at certain engine speeds (RPM).
* using a more efficient, less restricting air filter.

** Also this is what is known as a Fender Mount which grabs air near the fender which i would say is a " few " degrees cooler than the ones right next to the engine.

AEM has similiar bend not EXACT price $255

I pretty much only paid the price of the K&N. Guess i could clean up the welds and throw a few " brand " name stickers on it. Maybe it'll suck air better that way
