Yeah.. that's as good as you can get with a 17" wheel on the Yaris.

Your tires of choice should be 205/40/17

You can probably fit 205/45 with no problem. And the car will probably be more confortable.
My car is a Yaris TS and came from factory with 205/45/17 wheels.

Altough the best match to the US OEM wheel sizes would be 205/40.

Also, there are more tire options on 205/40 than in 205/45.

Are you lowered or planning to drop your car?

If you are going for a close to 2" drop stay with the 205/40's If you are dropping around 1" then 205/45

That will minimize any rubbing on the plastic inner fender over speed bumps.

My driveway inhibits any idea of lowering my car right now. Maybe in a few years when I buy another house, but until then I will keep my Yaris stock in that department.

I should probably just go with the 205/40s because they will leave me more leeway in the future, though. Thanks again for all the advice!

Let me just thank you again for suggesting 205/40s. I just purchased a set and saved $125 on the same exact tires, only 205/40s instead of 205/45s. I had no idea the price difference!

Yeap that's right. The 205/45 is not that common of a tire. From the top of my head I can only think on the Mini Cooper which comes with 205/45 from factory.

On the other side the 205/40/17 is a really common tire size on the Honda tuning world... hence why more common and cheap.
