The fact is that 205mm tyres, for example, actually differ in width by brand and model; all 205mm tyres are not created equal.

Wheel offsets are not always entirely accurate, as well.

Plus, the car itself is built within acceptable design tolerances, so not only does each car differ, but the same car can differ from right side to left side.

EDIT: These variables along with the fact that the Yaris is already pretty tight when it comes to proper wheel/tyre fitment... and you've got a rather fussy little car.
