DRL Disabled If I Install HIDs?

First, I did my search beforehand and nothing related to this topic came up, so I decided to post one for myself and for future references.

Up here in Canada, DRL (Daytime Running Light) is mandatory and illegal without them. That being said, I am wondering how to solve this problem as I decided HIDs to be my next upcoming modification.

I am planning to purchase one of those H4 Hi/Lo conversion kits (right at this point I will put my flamesuit on just in case) but I'd like to find out some info about solving DRL problem before I make up my mind.

Any info will be appreciated, thanks!

having DRLs can and may lead to premature failure of the HID kit.

how are you going to get around the DRL elimination being illegal?

In Canada, no new car can be sold without DRL, but AFAIK it's not illegal to disable them.

the yaris' DRL do not supply enough current, so they strobe. To fix the issue use a relay to directly connect the HID to the battery.

Many higher class luxury car use their HID as DRL. There shouldn't be a problem using the HID as DRL.
