Can we do this? (aka The DIY Cruise Control Thread)

I found this DIY post on ToyotaNation. Granted, it was done in 2006 and it was a Tacoma. But after viewing the pictures, they OEM stalk install looks a lot like ours, plus he skims over the Clutch Switch install. And I mean "skim". Like two pictures and thats it. I need something better than that.

I just received my stalk from eBay and the wire should be here by the end of the week. I promise guys, if I can get this done, I'll post a DIY for our Yarii with clearer pictures. Y'all know how OCD-ish I am about DIY pictures.

I'm looking forward to that, I won't attempt it on mine until I see a DIY for a 2008, since it's not pre-wired for cruise, and I really want to use a stalk, not a homemade button setup...

I am going by what CTScott said in the conversation below...If what you're saying is true, then I am going to need a little more time to figure it out.

We need to DIY, so that all of the info is concisely packaged.

Doing an 07-08 is really not difficult, and quite a few have already done it.

I would just like to get the soup to nuts of it nicely documented, so that everyone's questions are pre-answered. I have been meaning to write one up myself from the pictures that nickhjort sent me when he did his, but I haven't had a chance.

No problem. I just need the wire assembly from TRD Sparks. If I do get it by Friday or Saturday, I will be doing it right then and there.
