lol there's the MPH reading right under the KPH reading. Took me a couple of hours to learn where to look. No biggie.

I don't know if I am ambitious enough to do a IP cluster swap, but I had a lead on one
at a scrap yard in the state. Just checked online, and it's not listed anymore. Maybe someone from here grabbed it?? I didn't even get a chance to call on what the price would be. |

Swapping the cluster is literally a five-minute job. You only need a philips screwdriver to do it.
You pull off the two pieces of side-trim on either side of the radio, pull the trim from the cluster (forward towards the radio, not up) then unscrew two screws. Lift and slide the whole cluster out, unplug the two cables. Reinstall the reverse: Plug cables in, slide into place, put screws back in, clip the bezels/trim back in place, done. It's easier to do this than to put your spare tire on or change your own oil. And it's 100% plug-and-play across Liftback models. Hell, I'll be frank: This is as fast if not faster than taking the radio out, I'm surprised crooks aren't smash-and-grabbing them since there's nothing stopping it as far as I can tell.

Um... why? It stays off on it's own if you don't have ABS, I had no ABS light turn on when I had my friend's ABS-equipped 2009-era cluster in my 2007-era Yaris.
The instrument cluster is a very DUMB device, it's just reading information and displaying it. It (except for the clock and odometer) has zero storage ability itself apparently.

can anyone get the 09 S cluster for less than $360 shipped? I was quoted $360 on 09 Yaris S gauge cluster with tach (part toy83800-52N71) with 10% off dealer invoice, still feel high.

Wait a while and they're sure to be available from wrecking yards.

PS- $360 from the dealer is a great deal. Mine wanted over $500 and wouldn't sell it without having the car present to verify mileage.

lol... well i work at the dealership, I know the regular price is that high I just know 6 months ago you could get them for almost $300. However, I already just bought a autometer tach for $80 shipped from summit.
