what are centric rings

I am looking to buy a set of wheel for my yaris LB in the spring.Some says they come with centric rings is this something to stay away from does this mean they are cheap wheels Thanks!

Centric ring centers the rim to the hub bore. Some rims are not hub centric and this ring helps fill in the space. Otherwise its possible to put your rims on crooked onto the hub and you will get horrible vibration at high speeds. Eventually this will slot out the lugnut holes and worse case scenario the wheel would fall off.

Only other alternative is to get lugcentric lugnuts. They are tapered so they center the wheel that way as a alternative.
