I used a rod that I found at Lowe's - it is shaped like a Star of David rather than hexagonal - I think it refracts better.

looks hot. install them as parking lights or turn signals, but dont leave them on like DRL's...

or i really wont a switch for all my after market lighting i might make a switch box and show it off a little
