That's a nice project... Prolly tomorrow I'll head to the nearest home depot for the rods and check if the sale my dad found a few weeks back is still on. He found a pack of 5 White LED flashlights for 5 bucks. I don't care for the flashlights, but I do for the LEDS and maybe a pair of projectos for some small driving markers (until I get the fog lights ;-) )

I used a rod that I found at Lowe's - it is shaped like a Star of David rather than hexagonal - I think it refracts better.
Holy Crap... That was So Cool!

saw a pair of angel eyes pulling up behind me on the freeway the other night, it looked so hot, and then when it pulled up next to me, it was just a BMW station wagon of some sort, but still the headlights were super hot.

instead of curving the light down toward the front of the car, why not up by the side of the orange reflector thing (refer to the top right picture)?

The way I look at it, if they look like crap you can just leave them in there and never turn them on.

That might be good if they come in white and an appropriate length. I'll see what he has.

Thanks.

The closest Home Depot had the LED flashlights but not the clear rods. Now I started my classes so I don't think I'll get to work on the lightning project anytime soon:(.
If anyone is intereted, Home depot has a pack of 5 Husky white LED flashlights for $4. You get 5 white led Flashlights (to obtain 5 bright leds and their driving circuitry and 10 AAA batteries. A small 600ohm resistor will drive the Leds for any need you might have ;)
