Well I have 185/60R15 on my 07 Yaris Sedan and 175/65R14 on my 02 Corolla. Both are stock sizes for both cars respectively and both show about 3 kms MORE than the speed shown by the GPS. Yes, GPS takes a while to calculate the speed but I compared at steady speed without any speed changes 5 minutes before and after the reading.

I noticed same offset when compared with multiple curb side speed detectors on the highways. Now which instrument is more accurate GPS or speedometer ?
