What he is talking about is an insert, done all the time on strut cars, not an issue. You can even have a threaded body with a thread on perch, it just has to be fixed in the stock location. And you still have to use the stock mounting points, and the shock can not be more than an inch longer or shorter than stock.

*saw a yaris roll w/ rcomps, rsb and stock suspension....did a 360 degree barrel roll...
wrote the car off but he was over driving it...
