It's not fix-a-flat's problem. They were around before the sensors were. It's the car companies problem and they are the ones who need to make their buyer's aware of the problem.

You have a point. Automakers should develop sensors that resist the corrosive nature of these inflaters. They shouldn't go out of business because of this.

Still, it's easier enough to put a warning label in the mean time because the general public clearly doesn't know that they could be facing a pesky repair.

why didnt you use your spare tire?
did you remove it ?
if you did that would be the reason for the light on the spare has a sensor too!
if you didn't did you check the tire pressure of the spare?

The spare doesn't have a sensor on the Yaris.
