It doesn't affect MPG at all as the 1.5L engine never seems to have a problem breathing. However, it saves a lot of resources as it's reusable, and it will save you money in the long run.

That s the main reason I bought one......it saves $$ from having to replace the paper oner every year (I live in a dusty area). Well worth it in that respect, but no real gain in performance or fuel economy.
