gt spec braces,tokico reds,upgraded wheels tires,trd sway,front strut bar
Car has went from being very unstable in stock trim around my favorite corner at 35 mph to takeing same corner at 60 mph(at tire adhesion limit now) with all the upgrades .....upgrades well worth their cost ! Took a bland car and made it fun to drive!
Went with 15x6 inch scion alloys,195-60r15 p6 tires, trd rear sway, upper front strut bar,all 3 gt spec under car braces, tokico red dampers at all 4 corners. ![]()

thanks... I posted just to inform that with a bit of work a yaris can really be turned in to a fun machine,I use the handling to make up for the lack of power when driveing about.
IMO ... If a yaris owner drives smarter and upgrades the handling it more than makes up for the lack of power. |

yea...and after trying out a Trd set I went Back to the stock springs...for the type of city driveing I do the combo I have is excellent...I had a hotrod 85 gt escort with a highly modded hemi head ,solid lifitet,ho 1.9,slammed to the ground with stiff eibachs ,Koni, very wide tires,etc... So before the slam it crowd teases me ...been their done that...in fact still have the gt but gave it to my son as his summer car.

Did you add the components in stages? If so, how much did the under-bracing improve the chassis' feel?
And how much ground clearance is sacrificed? It looks like only slightly more than an inch as best I can tell by your photo's.

They are totally rebuilding our track here,so se track time is s for sure thing.
Did do mods in stages, the braces do add stiffness that can be felt. Rear sway was a big improvement and the shocks were also a huge improvement. |
