No hints on this? Actually its "Molding Tape" I thought it was the body tape. Went with red since I have a black yaris and used satin clear coat to give it a flat finish. Pics:

I just stuck my pinky fingers into the grill at about the 4 o'clock and 8 o'clock positions (I think the two grill holes at the very edges of my avatar pic I took of my emblem) and curled them around until I felt the push tabs holding it on and pushed them in towards the center of the emblem and it popped right off.

I literally just used a putty knife and the back emblems came right off. Then after painting put them back on with Double sided tape. I also painted the chrome trim on the trunk.

Red Raider: I'd think you may be able to buff it out. Looks minimal. Might have to wetsand but I doubt it.

Turn the Yaris emblem into a bling chain.

thought I might toss in some info
I work at a body shop, and have to do this kind of work all the time.

If you are going with simple satin/flat black, just use trim paint.

it's designed for this exact application, requires only 600 grit sanding (or a scotch brite) clean with alcohol based solution and spray. No adhesion promoter, no primer or clear. Has full UV protection and holds up much better then your run of the mill plastic paint.

Works great on rims too!

To remove emblems fishing line works the best
to remove the leftover tape a eraser disc works amazing, if that's out of the budget just roll it off with your finger and use some adhesive remover. Goo gone does effect clear, maybe not enough to notice, but it does effect it.

Hope this helps some!
