Hey I have a 2010 yaris Hatch and I cant get the front emblem off for anything?
can anybody tell me how its attached or where to find the release pins to remove it? also if anyone know where I can buy a replacement front emblem that'll be great also thxs casborne@hotmail.com |

I literally just used a putty knife and the back emblems came right off. Then after painting put them back on with Double sided tape. I also painted the chrome trim on the trunk.

wish i read more rather than being impulsive and scratching the sticky debris with a card...not to noticeable from more than about 2 feet away... any solutions?

Red Raider: I'd think you may be able to buff it out. Looks minimal. Might have to wetsand but I doubt it.

thought I might toss in some info
I work at a body shop, and have to do this kind of work all the time. If you are going with simple satin/flat black, just use trim paint. it's designed for this exact application, requires only 600 grit sanding (or a scotch brite) clean with alcohol based solution and spray. No adhesion promoter, no primer or clear. Has full UV protection and holds up much better then your run of the mill plastic paint. http://www.outdoorpros.com/Prod/Kryl...fhu=3733323832 Works great on rims too! To remove emblems fishing line works the best to remove the leftover tape a eraser disc works amazing, if that's out of the budget just roll it off with your finger and use some adhesive remover. Goo gone does effect clear, maybe not enough to notice, but it does effect it. Hope this helps some! |
