some are bolt-on and very easy to install, but are you using a stock exhaust?

well, this isnt a good mod, as much as a supporting mod. the header by itself wont really show too much gains until you put a serious exhaust on the thing
and before anyone chimes in about CAT's, no you dont have to get rid of it to see gains. |

I really wish that long tube header came out, would've been awesome power gains for the N/A crowd.

^ that project isn't totally dead. I got a prototype done some time ago, just need some time for testing.

Let me know if you decide to sell it.
I know after the whole turbo kit killing an engine Holdener went AWOL. The design was cool and it made power, albeit being mostly mid-top end, but it still didn't sap away any torque i don't recall. The way it looked, I wonder if it even fit! |

Any details on the header Nexus?
I've already got the parts to build my own header as well, I just haven't had the time to do it. So far the plan is for a 4-2-1, mid length 4-2 section, with tubing: 1.5" -> 1.625" -> 2.0", merges on all 3 collectors. |

Garm has it currently, I don't know anything about it. If you do a search for usernames as richardholdener and find the threads he made it will show more info about it. If you can make one like that that fits nicely, it would be epic. Great power increase too.

Yeah, almost 10lbft at redline is SICK, and the gains are great throughout as well.

I've measured a stock ex manifold and it is astonishingly tiny! I saw measurements in one thread stating 1 1/8th inch primaries. That is not what I measureed. There is a flare at the head flange that is almost that I.D. but the primary itself has an O.D. of 1 1/8th. That would make the primary I.D. about 1 inch! My lawn mower has a bigger exhaust manifold! I've seen the R Holdener threads but he really hasen't given us any particulars of the header dimensions. What size primaries did you go for on your prototype, how long, and what size collector? Thx. |
