Steering Feels loose

went back to stock wheels/springs and now the steering feel seems loose. had it aligned but it's still there... the steering wheel goes from left to right on uneven roads but the car does not veer left/right. any insights on what to check / replace?

tire pressures are ok but I haven't had the chance to check the tie rods, steering columns, etc...

hmm...my car has almost razor-sharp steering.

this may be a total shot in the dark, since I have yet to really take a close look at the steering system of the Yaris, but if it has a "guibo" maybe it's worn?

it's basically a part that goes between the shaft of the steering wheel and the shaft that connects to the steering rack (at least on BMWs).

again, it's a shot in the dark. maybe pop the hood and see if you see any kind of bushings, etc... in the steering linkage.

How much of a drop did you have with other springs? Did you have an alignment done after installing the aftermarket springs? If not, you may just be getting used to how the car feels with the alignment now at factory spec. Lowering springs change the alignment dynamics. You've probably also reverted back to skinner tires which can make the steering wheel feel looser as well.
