CT the high beam icon does not come on but the low beam icon works,I double checked it again, does this change anything?

The high beam indicator is separate from the headlights on indicator. The headlights on one is driven by the control side of the circuit and the high beam indicator is driven by power flowing through the bulbs, so if both bulbs were bad, that would be one possible explanation.
