Ideally, remove the headlight. Will make the job much easier.

I did my dodge stealth years ago and it turned out really nice on the tail lights. Take your time. Most headlights have a protective coating that must be sanded off (takes forever) if you want it to come out right.

Sanding is very important. When you finish sanding, sand them again. When spraying, go with super light coats and let them dry in between coats.

When spraying, stop one shade lighter than what you want the finished product to be. Then apply a few coats of clear and it will slightly darken more and provide protection. Use quality clear coat and wax it a few days after you finish.
