Ignore him. You can easily get upwards of 150hp with a supercharger, but you'd want to couple it with a good intake, header, and exhaust. A lightweight crank pulley would certainly help to. Bolt on options will work great and get you big gains before going internal.
Consider looking into a turbo though. Plenty of people have boosted on that, and it's been determined the engine can handle about 8psi safely without upgrading internals.
