I'm pretty sure you're right. I had already cut the screen off of on a O ring just to see what would happen and couldn't feel any difference, so I put another gasket back in with the screen.

Just finished up another tooter today...

We start on the throttle body base plate for the experimental tooter next week...

The design will combine the base plate and reverse velocity stack together in one part. Then I'll drill a hole in the hemisphere and have it welded into place.

Yes.
I started doing a little preliminary grinding on one of the runner entrances not wanting to remove too much of the weld so as not to weaken the manifold...

And now that I'm going with the hemisphere, I can remove the rest of the square plenum. That will make it much easier to shape the runner entrances as it is impeding getting the Dremel at the proper angle.

Five things ya don't wanna hear when you open your hood.....

1) Hey big boy.

2) Is that your intake, or are ya just happy to see me?

3) Whip it! Whip it good, as the Devo music plays.

4) Shwing!

5) Damn, thought I at least had five......

Here's a comparison between the runners...

The welds do overhang the entrances quite a bit, so removing them should improve the flow.
