Well, drove back from Ohio yesterday. For those of you who are curious It is apprx. 417 miles from Blacklick OH. to Cabelas in Hamburg PA. and I did that with 2 bars and apprx 2 gals of gas remaining.

This was by far my best tank ever. 417 is the farthest I have gone before filling up.

Ultra-Gauge had me at 46.4 mpg. Here are the actual pump and mileage numbers

744.7 miles

17.472 gals.

42.62 mpg.

I know the UG was higher than actual, but I also knew the actual was going to be good. I just kept driving. Mileage would have been better but I took the CC off around NY till I got through the construction in CT.

The first half was 417 and I got 9.623 gals. for 43.33. Had I left the CC on I think I could have gotten 43.5+ for the trip. I just wanted to get home.

And when I got home, I had a $26 love letter waiting for me from the Delaware toll blah, blah blah, on the way out there was some night constr. that funneled me into the EZpass lane at a toll, and I blew right through it. A toll I don't recall from my trip out at Christmas.

I used to think the mpg/mph sweet spot for me was just under 2700 rpm, but I am thinking now it is closer to 2650, which gets me about 62.2, 62.8 mph.

cheers.
