Wow, I hadn't checked on this thread in a while so I missed about 50 pages.

So, with this I could snag a 1zz tb and one of your adapters and be able to rock the 1zz on my Blitz setup?

How far do you think this would offset the intake? I've got an AFe and there's not a lot of extra room there.

It's $495 on ebay only because of the added fees. From me directly, it's $450 including shipping.

Other than a 1ZZ TB which I have already, what else would I need that might not be included?

It wouldn't offset it at all if the thickness of the adaptor matches what you cut off of the Blitz.

There's plenty of material to work with on the bottom round section. In fact if thickness became an issue, you could simply cut off the whole round section with a hack saw, and just use the square throttle body base part. You would want to flare out the smaller runner opening with a grinder for a smooth transition to the larger 55mm adaptor bore.

Oh I didn't realise that stuff had to be chopped off the Blitz part. Blarg, probably beyond what I'm willing to try haha.

Nothing.

The tooter uses all of your stock manifold bolts and throttle body studs. It comes with a OEM Yaris O ring manifold-to-head gasket, a OEM Corolla flat gasket between the throttle body and the tooter, and an OEM Corolla O ring gasket between the throttle body and the adaptor. All of the hoses will need some rerouting because everything is shifted to different locations. I ran some of the tubes under the throttle body for a cleaner appearance.

Yeah... you'd need to want a 1ZZ on your Blitz really badly!

There's no other way to retain the same location of your intake without cutting and welding. And it would be a pain, because you'd need to remove the unit to cut it and take to to a welder. It would definitely an advanced project, but not a difficult one as aluminum is really soft and cuts and welds easily. One day someone with the mechanical skills will try a SC 1ZZ. I bet it would be an effing screamer because even running normally aspirated, the throttle response is truly amazing.

This is on my to-do list once I get my A/F monitoring under control. I just got a set of 255 cc injectors and a scangauge II this morning and an injen CAI last week.

I really like those big shiny aluminum tube Injen intakes.

I've been looking at this one for the truck as it's the only 4 cylinder one available. I think cold air is an overblown issue. My short ram intake has the same underhood engine/filter relationship and it runs great. When a vehicle is moving, ambient temperature air is blasting through the engine compartment.

This intake enjoys an advantage... if I start messing with the manifold, it's free to move around.

Still watching TBR's auction of a Golden Eagle manifold on ebay. Curious to see if there will be any bids.

It's up for a $399 reserve auction with a $699 buy it now.
The reserve is probably $698!

^ Probably! Ooh... plus $35 shipping.

Injen intake for your truck would be $219.95 through us, by the way.

LOL. Let's take a badly designed WeaponR product and put more holes in it. Yeah, ok.

Sadly, this one is black. There's some dimples in it from rubbing against the bodywork, so I may just lop off the end and make it an SRI a la Tooter.

I still feel compelled to buy one of these things, but the wife isn't really interested in performance mods. Convincing her to put a $450 part under the hood where "nobody" would ever see it would be a really hard sell. Perhaps I could bill it as a cosmetic upgrade? It would have to be purple though...

I am tempted to bid for that price just to see what happens.. I'd rather buy from Garm but just can't pull the trigger for full price, I'm stuck in the 80's when manifolds were cheap.....

It looks similar to this design except that throttle body tips down and this one tips up.

back side view...

Mine had welding blobs in the runners like those except less of them because I found a really good old school welder who really knows his stuff. I use a Dremel to grind off the weld intrusions and to smooth out the runner transitions.
