lowering = different specs for alignment?
I just lowered my Yaris with Tokico blues (HB3239/HB3240 front)and on rear (HE2993, Part# is for Scion XD) and Eibach pro-kit (8293.140). I'm ready to have wheels aligned and was told by a guy who manages a few auto shops that lowering changes alignment specs. Is this true and if so, what do I have it aligned to? Just drove it a little so far and handles great but ride is rougher than expected.

Prokits only lower 1" so an alignment isn't really necessary. If you were going down in the neighbourhood of 2-ish inches, then yes, alignment specs do get thrown out enough to warrant one.

Lowering WILL throw out your alignment. Your camber and toe will need to be adjusted even if minor, your rear torsion axle should be fine. its much cheaper than replacing tires more often.
You can align your car to factory specs it will be fine. |
