just need to go a bit lower...what do
coilovers are so expensive. i have mi springs and stock shocks. new wheels are 15x7 +20 rollin on 185/55/r15. with my old 17s i had almost no wheel gap and i was expecting more, but i knew itd look like this and i accept it. question is would the blue shocks lower my hight? what about cutting the springs a SMALL amount? i dont want to be supa herra frush just like a quarter to half inch lower.
oh yeah and to all the people who said this offset would rub, i have no idea what youre talking about, ive only rubbed once onder hard conering with a big dip i didnt see. |

Dude, this is just my opinion, but you have the perfect amount of gap...
Even all around... dat-gap.jpg

I could but I wanted this super mild stretch because I was paranoid about rubbing. And I don't think the yaris looks good with bulge anyway unless its all tracked out

true on that ..its ur offset of 20 that is the problem in a way...im planing for this summer to run 195 55 15 on 40 offset rim 6 inch wide. ..im on sportline springs and that set up will really fill the gap...may option for tein s tech to go lower..well im hoping they do over sportline.

shocks ...nothing ...springs yes ... 195 55 15 on 6 inch looks just right had that on my integra was a square look no bubble look and its about same as stock size over all to a 185 60 15 ....that yaris come with lower u go the more aggressive the look and more fun to drive but can be a pain on a daily driver as i found out on my integra..she was just 2 inch off the ground front bumper looked like a cheese grader went over it lol. ...im about 1,7 to 1,8 drop now ...bigger tire will fill the gap but raise the car

ah i see, yeah florida is nice and flat mostly, but for some reason the area i just moved to a lot of places of buisness have very steep driveways. huge pain to get in and out even on these springs when theres traffic

this pic is from this summer with sportline and 14 inch rims with 175 65 14 , they are 23 inch over all by going to a 195 55 15 it will go up to a 23.65 inch so will fill in the gap.... |

From my limited mechanical understanding... shocks only change how "quickly" your springs compress/extend, so in a steady state shocks make no difference to ride height.
Getting stiffer shocks will have an impact on travel range (reducing it) because it will allow for less bounce from the springs... but steady state, no difference. Correct me if I'm wrong please. |

Be prepared to rub more though. Then you'll have to start hacking up the splash shields and whatnot up front. |
