Wheel Questions

I was offered a set of Primax 772 in 16".
Which has a bolt pattern of 4 lug 4.25 inch 108mm High Positive Offset.
The offset I really don't understand.
What would I need to use these?
Is it worth the effort?
Thanks,
Steve

The 4x108 means you would need hub adapters to use them. This would add positive offset and the fact that the rims are already "high" positive offset means that they would stick out as is, let alone with a hub adapter in between.

Some day I will get that correct off the top of my head. So, to correct my statement to the OP, the "high" offset wheels would potentially be tucked in too far (depending on what "high" equals). In that case the hub adapters could be chosen thickness wise to offset that extra tuck and bring the wheels out to the correct spacing for the car.

I understand; you sound like you're an old timer, like me.

The current, accepted sign convention (more negative moves mounting face inward) is illogical to me too. In the old days, a more positive offset made the wheel track more wide, ie.: +offset = +track.

Now it's more negative offset makes the track more wied. Huh?

I think I have it now.
Think I'll just wait for some thing else.

yea, there are tons of wheels from miatas and civics that fit our cars, no need to get ones that require adapters.
