IMO, the 'too small' look is largely because of the cheaper, thinner tires Toyota decided to make de rigueur on the non SE 2012-2014 in the U.S., rather than the ones that came with the Convenience Package 2007-2011/were on most 2007-2011s (185/60-15s or 195/60-15s). When the OEMs wear out, I'm going to put 60 series tires (that size) on my '14.
I agree with you that the front of the 2015 looks better (

) than the front of the 2012-2014, but I think the rear of the 2012-2014 looks better than the rear of the 2015. I like the chrome strip on the hatch (rather that the 'car color' one on the 2015, and I don't like the back up light being on the bottom of the rear bumper on the 2015.
