I would still prefer to just row through 5 gears manually in my daily driving, as opposed to 6.

Most of the information that I have read on the internet indicates that people typically shift into 6th gear around 70-75mph.

I shift into 5th at 40 mph. At 30 I switch into 4th. Been helping with gas savings. Never drove a 6 speed. Like you, I think the Yaris is about perfect as a 5 speed. I rarely drive over 65 mph unless the other half scolds me because we are getting passed by the 75 mph'ers which is technically the speed limit. But I like to save on fuel. It's 38 mpg vs 35 mph.
