Tire pressures and TPMS set

I was sure that the dealer blew off the mismatched front/ rear tire pressures on the SE ...

... because I've bought new cars before where the pressures were WWAAYY off !!!

I was wrong.

They were within 1/2 psi at all 4 corners

With a nice, new digital gauge (<$10 at Kragens) - not a crappy, 45 year old, grease monkey plunger type

I set 'em all 1 psi high and successfully reset the TPMS with the button under the dash.

Not to be a jerk my experience has been the huge majority of drivers don't understand that the correct pressures are obtained from the door sill sticker -- not from the tire.

It applies to the tire sizes listed on the sticker. Some cars come with optional sized tires and will list them accordingly.

They are a balance of comfort and safety.

And on the new yaris the sticker is in the glove compartment almost impossible to read without getting a neck injury.

Tip
Take a photo with the phone of the sticker, it makes things much easier.
