I installed a new set of OEM Toyota plugs when I bought my car. plugs don't really have any performance gains until you change something drastically in the engine. if you have a distributor, silver plugs have the least resistance and can give you slightly quicker spark timing, but in a DIS system the computer compensates for the built in resistance of platinum/iridium; if, however, silver is installed it will create a detonation issue because of the lack of resistance.
the advantage comes with a multi-spark system. the only one I have found is okada projects coils, but they are like $900 (but I've heard they work very well)

T.M. Works also have a lot of ignition products and what I like about them is that upgrades can go in stages. But of course if you are force inducted and want to go for the best then just go Okada!
