Replaced that big wiper!
The big front wiper gave up last week. I ordered a rubber insert for $7 from the local Toyota dealership. It arrived yesterday... but it didn't fit!
The rubber wiper inserts don't work in the "French" blades. So, I had to order a new blade @ $33. But... the Japanese and French blades are the same part! Apparently, only Japanese built cars have replaceable rubber inserts. |

I have changed the rubber on my french blade, but here in denmark its more expensive than what i can by a new "genuine" Denso wiper for.
This is exactly the same as original. http://www.ebay.de/itm/322075799505?...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

I use the "PIAA Super Silicone" wipers on my '09 HB.
They have the 26" and 14" sizes needed. http://www.piaa.com/supersilicone They wipe clean and never ever chatter as the stock wipers sometimes do. BTW, I also found a better rear wiper for the hatch back that fits the rear wiper arm perfectly TRICO 12-A https://www.amazon.com/TRICO-Exact-I.../dp/B001KS2PXQ What I have been doing is ...... I install the stock wipers for the winter months in the north east and install the PIAA and TRICO wipers in the spring and summer months. This saves wear and tear (caused by snow and ice) on the PIAA./ TRICO wipers Last edited by RedRide; 05-01-2017 at 10:56 AM. |
