Need to do a valve adjustment.

First time doing something like this. I have done alternators, starters, basic things. Was told this isnt a hard job just tedious. Has anybody ever done this? Seeking some tips or info. I dont see any videos showing how to do this. Maybe I need to look harder. Any info would be appreciated.

After further research, im gonna just go an oil change and see if that helps. Seems to me that these things rarely need adjustment. Still gonna take off the valve cover and see if I see anything.

adjusting the valves on the 1nzfe is not a diy task, you have to replace the entire lifter as they are numbered and have a spec, have to pull the camshafts, timing chain, tensioner, etc. your engine will be fine and i measured mibe on my 4th spark plug change at 220k miles and they were all in spec

Thank you for your answer. Wanted to update. I do not have an explanation on it, however the ticking went away completely. No noise at all from the engine. Runs very quiet. I did have a bad spark plug which changed out but this was after the noise went away. Just took it from Tampa to Orlando at 75mph and no issues at all.
