Even though my Yaris is fairly new, I fully anticipate and eventually expect to eventually attain your mileage. Hey, I am an optimist. It is a Toyota, right? :-)

How many miles do you average a year?

The average is around 15,000 miles which would only take 33 years.

I replaced my w/p with an OEM replacement on 6/18/13. It was very easy to do. But today I went to change my oil and to my surprise, there was an oil leak which looked like it was coming from the front main seal. So, I'll probably be replacing that seal this weekend.

I'm not sure if it's 5w-30, but he does use synthetic if you're wondering. I believe his Yaris would've made it to this point similarly on regular oil though.

I'm the original owner of my 08 yaris and nearing 181,000 miles...glad to see your ride still going strong! Only failure I've had really is the waterpump needing replaced. Other than that, still runs strong and fires up everytime...even the ac is still ice cold and never had to recharge it

I have 12,000miles (20,000km) on my 2010

I guess I'm a long way off from hitting 500,000km?

Question for trini_per4mance about his 500,000 mile record

Hi trini_per4mance,

The last time I read your post, you mentioned that you put 500,000 miles on your Yaris. How many miles do you have on it at this point?

Sincerely,
Ronald

I'm pretty sure Trini only logs on to post a new mod, accessory, or repair. His last edit was just under 3 months ago (8-22-13 (see bottom of OP on this thread).....the day after Detroiter's post on this thread....to add his clutch replacement at 506,000 miles on 8-11-13). I think Trini does all (or at least most) of the work on his car. That 8-22-13 update is newer than any other update by Trini himself (see YouTube, Google, Subcompact Culture, rest of Yarisworld) that I see.

I think Trini delivers blood or something for living. That's why he can put so many miles on his car in a year.

When he stopped doing that, naturally his mileage accumulation slowed down quite a bit.

And he stopped a couple of years ago. If he had continued that original pace, he'd probably be in the 800,000's.

It is too bad he doesn't feel like being a consistent member. He could share a lot of valuable info.

I agree with all of your points. I'm glad that he still adds his repairs, and mod/accessory changes. I hope he continues to do that.....and lets us know when he hits 550k or 600k++ !

Hmm well for some reason you can dammage a car just by driving ~5000 miles a year like I do.

If you drive 100k miles a year somehow you get away with it!
