Fed up with rubbing... heres my plan
My current setup consists of OEM shocks with Tein S-tech springs, 17x7 +45 Team Dynamics with 205/40 tires, factory alignment. My ride height is 12.5" all around center of hub to fender.
I am getting rubbing in the front on almost every bump and it is really annoying. Turning at low speeds does not rub at all. The rear are fine even with a 12mm hub spacer. My plan is to get an alignment with -2 camber and 0 toe in the front and from my calcs, I can move the upper outside edge of the tire ~.4" in. I have on the way: Tokico blues, TigerTec springs <a bit milder drop with a little higher spring rate in the front>, and a 23mm rear sway. How does this sound? I have a lot of $$ invested in my rims and tires and want to keep them. The rims are really light <for 17's anyway>. I can switch to 195/45 tires and gain some width clearance there but lose some wheel well clearance <they are a little taller than the current tires>.
