"Gasket"
The pipe that goes over the Axle (Axleback) has a connection just in the front of the Axle. There are 2 - 14mm bolts with springs (To allow flexing) and it has a "Doughnut" gasket that sits between the two slightly flared pipes. The removal is very simple. Just don't try it with the car at ground level. You might think about using Rhino Ramps from Checkers, or some auto parts place. If you jack the car up, be SURE to use jack-stands, so as not to have a casualty. Be SAFE, not SORRY.
Aloha!
