Quick Wheel Question *(205/50/16, 35et)*

SO, I consulted the wheel guide sticky, but had further questions.

Its seems this set up would be right on the edge of being able to work with a lowered car. I'm on DF210's and Tokico Blue's, so low, but not slammed by any means. I'm ok with rolling fenders if need be to make this happen. So here's the set up...

Wheels - 16x8 35et
Tires - Dunlop Direzza Star Spec 205/50/16

Take a look at pics after doing a search on here for 205/50/16. I'm running the TRD package which gives a moderate drop and that tire size you have questions about. My rim is a 43 offset and I have a 2 finger gap. I am pretty sure Barber is running the same rim in a 15" but with a 35 offset.

Anyway, check the pics. I did that for about a week before pulling the trigger.

I run 205/45-16s, and don't notice any difference from the "stock size" tire.

205/50/16 is an excellent choice with stock suspension or a mild drop like the TRD package you have.

With 205/50/16, 16x7, ET42-45 works best and requires no camber adjustments or fender mods.

The 16x8+35 will most likely rub a bit.

Have 16x7+38 on my car and I rub. So yours would stick out about 1/2" further then mine. We have the fronts rolled a little and still rubs.

So you may have to do some decent rolling.

My Yaris 1.33 has 205/45/16 Sumitomo HTRZ.Add it has Eibach (40mm) sport springs. It better than comfort original tyre (185-60-15 Bridgestone Potenza RE080) Original tyre is really poor.Handling is disastrous

Speaking from experience, you'll rub with a 205/50/16 on a 16x7 +35 wheel. I did. A lot.
