Drag Racing yaris 15.969

I went to the drags a while ago and posted best time of 15.969
mods
manual trans
intake
header
midpipe(with stock muffler)
weight reduction ocd( i took off front license plate, folded mirrors, took off antenna, hubcaps, loose change, carpet, passenger seat)

That's good....i see you're running 17 in tires. Is the diameter different from original? Ie...change in gear ratio?

I tried that a few times with my AutoX tires and almost broke 17. Must be my technique is crap, because that was after the supercharger install.

actually when I ran the quarter I had 15 inch rims with stock size tires 15/65/185 but the tires were really nice they were the altimax rt tires

If your tires are a different diameter than stock, it changes the effective great ratio. It's an easy way to get more torque without tearing your gearbox apart.

I'm not a science expert but there is more torque if the rim/tire is a smaller diameter right?

Correct. You can always trade torque for speed by going larger, and vice versa.
