Indicator / turn signal question.

Hey guys

I've recently had a retrofit job done while I was in the USA and had to buy spare headlights there and they have different turn signal sockets to the ones we have in the UK. I was wondering if anyone would know of any adaptors I could use to get my PY21W (offset bayonet) to what the new one is. Or is there a way of rewiring my original wiring to this socket so I can use that? They both are very similar but mine is too big for the US socket (T2 perhaps?)

Thanks :)

Here's the photo from the US one

And a stock image of the PY21W socket

nope. you will have to order the proper socket... or rewire it with individual pins

Thought so. Have you or does anyone have any advice on wiring these to my original wiring? I only have positive and negative on my indicators. I'm guessing the third on these is for a DRL function? Not mentioned here but in a separate post, these are USA spec headlights and my originals are from U.K. so the wiring is slightly different I believe. Thanks for the reply!

it's just a different bulb, right? why can't you use the proper bulb/socket combo?

The two sockets are different. The one I have is too large for this headlight as they're different specs. Would you happen to know how to wire to this socket? I only have 2 wires from my indicators and this has 3 pins so just wondering which one is positive and negative. Thanks for the replies.

edit: should point out that the top image of the 3 pin is the back of the socket as it's not attached to anything yet and the bottom image is where the bulb sits in.
