15 x 7.5 et 30
Aiming to get the closest to factory ride height with a stretched tire look.
My goal was looks and fuel economy. Thinking of running a 175 65 15 tire. Any recommendations on that matching the 185-60-15 on my 2007 yaris rs? Will likely be lowering the car in the future as well. https://www.1010tires.com/Wheels/Kon...White/Machined These are the rims I picked up last night. Test fit and no rubbing issues. The lip just sticks out past the edge of the car on the front. |

Stretched tires are dumb.
If you lower the car, you will likely rub.

How you want your car to look is a personal choice. If you want a particular look, go with it, but be prepared to put up with any negative effects from it.
Stretched tyres are very popular in drifting circles. They wouldn't be doing it if it didn't work for them, but maybe the tyres they are using are made to be used on wider rims. Most tyres are designed to fit a certain rim width, and the makers generally have listings of what size rims the tyres are designed for, as well as recommended maximum and minimum recommended rim widths. Stretched tyres will probably wear unevenly with the sides of the tread wearing faster. The grip levels could also be affected. If you are gojng to go this route, try and find a tyre shop that has experience with stretched tyres to see what brands and sizes they recommend.

175mm tyres fit wheel width 4.5"-6.5". I wouldn't stretch them onto 7.5" wheels... but that's your choice.
I'm quite conservative about wheel and tyre fitment and camber adjustment. The minimum tyre width I'd put on a 7.5" rim is 205mm. But, with et30 you're going to poke ugly up front unless you add camber. Plus, you're going to have serious issues up front if you lower, unless you add camber to reduce rubbing. 185/60/15 = 23.7" overall diameter (OEM) 205/50/15 = 23.1" recommended size if you plan to lower 205/55/15 = 23.9" |

This is why I was picking this tire size. Think I would lose the 1% bigger diameter in the sidewall with the wider rims. https://www.willtheyfit.com/index.ph...7-5&offset2=30 |

This tire calculator also not allow 175 tire on 7.5" rim and also does not associate different rim widths to affect overall tire diameter. I think I am going to buy a used tire and try it on to measure it. |
