Question Good struts available in 2024 for factory equivalent ride on an 07? Bilstein? KYB?

My front-left factory strut is biting the dust and I'd like to replace it before some trips coming up soon. Toyota Canada can't get me replacements for 2-3 weeks as they need to come from California, so that doesn't help me. KYB Excel G's don't seem as highly regarded on the internet anymore as the old KYB GR2's did. Bilstein shows B4 (factory equivalent series) struts for 2012-2016, but nothing below that. (which sucks because I can get those locally right now)

Thoughts? Push comes to shove and I'll have to order from an American Toyota dealership myself in order to get them in time.

Struts have remained unchanged up until the Mazda based model year replaced the true Toyota. Gen3 suspension same as Gen2.
Excel G is still a fine strut.

I was thinking the same thing about the remaining unchanged point. It's very Toyota to leave something alone that's working fine. I wonder why Bilstein doesn't state that these are backward compatible with the 2nd Gen? I'll try asking their technical support. https://cart.bilsteinus.com/strut-22-230676.html

I put Excel G's on my Echo many years ago but looking them up recently raises points about stiffness and lifespan. Are you rocking them? I think I'd do what I did before and use the Excel G strut with OE Toyota spring combo it I did it again.
