Picked up a blasting cabinet from Harbor Freight today...
![]() ![]() They had this one on display, but were selling another model that wasn't half as nice, so I prevailed upon the manager to sell me the older floor model at the sale price ($209). This one is superior because the cabinet and lower catch bin are not only larger, they're all a one piece welded unit, whereas the newer one was a bunch of bolted together sections which are highly likely to leak blasting medium. This one also has a separate glassed off compartment on the top for the flourescent lights while the newer one didn't. There are pickup tubes welded into the bottom bin to which you attach the blasting medium hose so that when you're blasting, the medium falls to the bottom of the tapered bin and is then picked up again. This allows automatic recirculation of the medium without any loss. |
