Why my HID's are flickering??? - Toyota Yaris Forums

flickering due to day time running light.. u have to use a relay and direct connect to battery instead..hid needs 12v not 10..

FYI, toyota DRL runs on 12v, with a current (amperage) limiter.

to OP: you need one of these.

sorry bro i checked the voltage on drl its around 10v only if i turn the headlights on then its around 12v even 14v if the engine is running. voltmeter could be wrong though.

Yaris here on Puerto Rico doesn't have DRL. However I check were is supposed to be and there's nothing.

If you did it on the yaris, then you are PROBABLY right. It wasn't the case when i had the echo.

I took no chance, and installed my HID with a relay right away on the yaris.

Well I'm going to buy that HID relay kit to avoid any problems...thanks everyone
