LOAD RESISTOR, that's it. You may also see some success with an "electronic flasher unit" but I don't know the details on that as well.

Look on this page: HERE and the second paragraph down should have all the information you need.

I'd really PM CTScott. He knows a metric fuckton more about wiring and electrics than I do. Maybe the resistor inside the bulb isn't enough of one, since the signal going into the bulb in the back isn't the same as the one in the front? This is assuming that you have retained the factory turn signals instead of changing those to LEDs as well.

Like I said, I'm not 100% on any of this, I'm mostly talking out of my ass with educated guesses. The only thing I do know for a fact is that LEDs draw a lot less power than normal bulbs and that's the reason you're getting the fast flashes. All of the bulbs on my car are LEDs except the headlights and the turnsignals for this reason.

THEY WORK RIGHT NOW YAAYYY

but my "maintenance required" light is on it was on before i brought it to the shop so i thought it might have to do with the blinkers and that it would go away once they were fixed but its still there maybe ill start a new tread about it

Yes.

Toyota uses it to remind you to get your oil changed. That's about it.
