I would suggest you find a wheel with proper offset.

16x7, ET42-45, 205/50/16 will make for an excellent fitment on stock suspension.

EDIT: There are a few other Panasport inspired wheels similar to the XXR-513 that are available in ET40 that will work very well on the Vitz with the right tyre.
