My second retrofit

AP1 S2000 projectors

Reflector bowl

Lens trim

Shrouds

I still have a lot of work to do. Im in the process of making a .dxf program at work for a bracket to mount the projectors. There isn't enough room on the projectors to drill holes and put bolts through so the bracket will be attached where the two projector halves bolt together. The bracket will also have height and rotational adjustability for easy aiming. I'm hoping to have the bracket completed by monday. I'm still going to be running my 5000k bulbs and Denso ballasts. The complete inside of the headlights will be carbon fiber.

Just my opinion but the reflector bowl shouldn't be CF. There's just too much CF going on. If it was matte black and the lens trim CF then it would be cool. My two cents.

I was thinking the same thing at first, but half of the bowl won't ever be seen because the projector and shroud will cover it. My headlights are satin black now so I wanted to do something completely different this time.

That's not possible.

+1! That is going to look incredible when you get it done! Please update with more photos and an estimate of what you have invested.

Projectors + clear lens' - $370
Bulbs - $45
Pair of new headlights - $160
Ballasts (already have but new) - $165
Wiring harness - $30
Shrouds - $35
CF and supplies - about $100

A complete retrofit is not cheap and requires a lot of work.

Here is a trial set of brackets. I already know that they won't fit. The top slot will need to be moved up more and the bottom one down more. I'll use these to figure out the exact dimensons I need.

Update:

All of the cf work is done. I still might have to do some more trimming since these projectors are so big. Next step will be mounting/securing and aiming the projectors.

Had another issue due to the size of the projector and shroud. The shroud was hitting the turn signal housing. I cut out the spot where the bulb attaches to the housing and moved it in a couple of inches. I also had to trim the turn signal housing and I'm in the process of rebuilding it so it's more compact.
