Not yet.
Right now, the CNC machinist is making a base plate to connect the hemisphere to the intake runners. After that, I make the 3 tubing fittings, everything gets welded up and then I get to drive it.

Hey, what do you know. Someone did that design. Guess the old saying is true that there's nothing new under the sun. What car did that come off of?

Makes sense that it would be Toyota as it's similar to the Corolla manifold. Even the mandrel bent tubing looks familiar.

Just did a search on WIKI. That manifold design was on the last 4E FE 1.5 engine which was discontinued in 1997. In 1998 the Corolla 1ZZ FE 1.8 engine carried over the similar design.

It's at the welder today.
When that's done
it's ready to run.

Before dropping it off, I finished porting all of the runners and bead blasted the insides as it's the last time I'll be open to do anything to it.

For comparison, this is before porting...

I should have the tooter et up and running on the car by Friday.

Came up with another idea...

TOOTER II.VII

It's for a Toyota Tacoma 2.7 4 cylinder... a 2 inch thick intake manifold spacer that makes the runners 12% longer to lower the torque curve. The prototype should be done and ready for testing in a week. I'll drive it around to let the ECU learn the new operating parameters...

...and then it's off to Harry's Dyno Shop for a few runs.
