Considering that it's a 5 hour drive of constant high rpm... No good..

I think it also is the way the engine was built.. Because i've driven a new lexus is250 at 90 mph and the RPM is about 2700.. so that is way less .. it still got 30 mpg too... where as my yaris at 90 is about 32mpg .

I drove my from Kentucky to Nevada in a straight shot (1750 miles) running 85 where I thought I could, 70 where I wasn't comfortable. Oh yeah, the car had 300,000 miles on it at the time. The motors in our cars is a great little motor!

If I remember correctly I was at highway speeds for about 28-30 hours straight. I only stopped for gas, fast food, and bathroom breaks. I had a case of Mountain Dews and someplace to be.... The Bonneville Salt Flats!

Oh i see... Btw... does the manual make more horsepower to the wheels than the automatic? I've driven both and the automatic feels about the same .... Im sure it is little difference.
Sorry for all the questions, I just recently got the yaris as a hand-me-down and im just so excited haha

I've driven the 80 MPH limit section of Interstate 10 that stretches from the El Paso County/Hidalgo County line (about 30 miles East of downtown El Paso) to a bit West of Boerne (along the western edge of the San Antonio Metro) going east and the opposite going west quite a few times (at the limit....or the flow of traffic .Over 5 hours either way IIRC) in my 2007 Yaris....and the engine still seems normal at 294,003 miles.
