I like symmetry...

I am picking up a new '12 Yaris 3-door tomorrow, and would like some help replacing my hubcaps and steelies.

Here is what I would like, friends: I want a set of wheels that I can just bolt onto my Yaris with no hassles. No rubbing, no low-profile tire sizes, none of that. I want a set of alloys of the exact dimensions as the stock steelies, same offset, all of that. I don't want to deal with spacers or any other work other than ordering them, and bolting them on and driving the car for the next 10 years. I don't want fragile wheels that will fracture just commuting year-round (this car's primary use).

I like symmetrical wheels, four lugs, four spokes. Four lugs, eight spokes, aligned the same on all four "sides" as you view the wheel.

I am not a fan of very "loud" chrome wheels. But an anodized gold, grey, silver...looks fantastic to my eyes.

I like subtle beauty.

If you want something with the same fitment as stock, that 15x8 stance wheel of unknown offset is not what you want. Out of the other two choices I like the borbet more; looks better, doesn't have a red stripe, and fits the symmetrical theme better with a single set of bolt holes rather than the dual pattern on the tsw wheel. Tirerack is a better choice as well.

Hmmm...So those Borbets will just bolt right on? I don't need anything else?

Here's a wheel that will work: Acura LS mesh wheel. 15x6 45 offset

Stance will rub.

TSW or Borbet will bolt right on, no rubbing, no other items required besides "tuner lugs" to fit in the smaller lug holes on the wheel. 12x1.5mm is what thread pitch you need of these. Can pick them up at your local auto parts store or eBay, or some wheel and tire sites will have them packaged as an "installation kit."

They may try to sell you hubcentric rings, may as well just get them. If they do not try to give you these, then there is no need for them as long as you tighten your lugs diagonally when installing.

First off, I know this isn't help per say, but man, I like the way you do business!

Something to consider is finding some OEM alloys. I bought a set last year and they pretty much met all of your requirements (other than being symmetrical!). I like 'em! Stock size, no rubbing, simple, built to last, not flashy, etc...

Thank you! The Borbet's are in the running. That says a lot because I hate most aftermarket alloys. But those Borbets are sweeeeeeet.

Thank you very much. I briefly considered these, but they are not truly symmetrical, so the love is now lost.

Those are indeed gorgeous, especially in the gun metal. However, I would want them with only four "branches", not five; they are not symmetrical. I like visual balance, and I know four spoke wheels are about as popular as STD tests in a whore house, but if I'm dropping $500+ on something...it has to be my way.

Or I'll just "survive" with the stock steelies and hubcaps.

Oh, these may not fit your "symmetric" criteria, but they are OEM alloys. I ordered them from a Toyota MR2, you just need to purchase the lug nuts for an MR2 or 2000+ Celica. Everything else is a perfect fit, including the hub ring. The offset is OEM, so with my DF210's and the ROUGH Michigan roads, there is NO rubbing!

After reading this thread, I realize that there aren't that many truly "symmetrical" wheels out there. thepartsmancometh's suggestion seems like the only ones that meet the bill so far...

Oh...those are very nice. I will look at the bronze and gunmetal ones.
